Open Them Up, PLEASE!
I've been a nvidia customer since my shiny new GForce4 to my current 8600. But the next card I buy will be ATI unless there is an opensource nvidia driver
I would love to see nvidia follow AMD's strong lead. If they do not, it will simply be a matter of time before AMD's drivers are superior to nvidia's offerings.

Open the drivers please, or I'll be forced to buy ATI.
If NVIDIA had an open source 3D driver, I would definitely choose NVIDIA cards over others when buying a computer. As it is, I currently try to avoid NVIDIA because of the lack of open source support (nv only has 2D, and the 3D closed source drivers don't always work).
Open source is educational, and also easier to manage from the end-user's point of view, and always easier to trust.
Open your software, open your hardware or you'll lose the race

When purchasing a computer I often avoid NVIDIA because of lacking support for 3d acceleration. Instead, I buy Intel or ATi. If you had an open-source driver, I would definitely buy nVidia.

Please release the code, or at least remove that crappy binary loading in your module... your kernel module is stupidly huge...
I'am from mexico, i use the open suse and i have one lap pavilion dv9207us with nvidia geforce go 7600 i need e better driver.
El futuro es abierto, apoyen el futuro
Get into the open world Nvidia :-)
Love nVidia hardware but your Linux support has been very poor. It is time for nVidia to opensource its drivers.
Cliente nvidia orgulloso poseedor de Geforce 6100 y una GeForce 7300 GS
I approve this motion!
Releasing the specs means you'll have to do less work yourself to keep the drivers up-to-date with the latest X server versions, etc -- the community will help to take care of it for you.
Proud user of a 7600GS but willing an Open Source Driver.
Yeah, I rarely use Linux for gaming but I'd like to see better support if possible. Opening the hardware specifications to some extent shouldn't be that hard!

This isn't the first time we've asked, but please make it the last that we feel the need to do! By opening your drivers as Free Software, you will gain both respect and customers from the Free Software community; not doing so gains you nothing.
That's why I'm using AMD/ATI video cards on my PCs. Let's boycott graphics cards of NVidia - maybe it is the only working decision... I hope I'm not right!
Hello, It is time for nVIDIA to be serious about Linux drivers, because every day the count of Lunux users increase.
NOt bashing. Just asking

Open it.
Future is FREE!!!
You have only customers to gain, opening your drivers!
Open up!!
Please open-source the drivers, now!
i have the 8500 GT ant i`ll buy the 8800GTS in 2 months - im using linux and windows ... help us nVIDIA.
¿Por que no lo liberas?
Please open your source for the drivers - all the people who have nVIDIA graphic card will be grateful
Opensource drivers sure would be nice. I've got an older nForce2 MB w/ onboard GF4mx video. No recent drivers will work with this setup. Luckily, I can still apply some patches to the old 87.76 drivers and it continues to work. For how long though? I've used opensource software for over 10 years. I feel confident that if we had a viable opensource driver, this issue wouldn't exist.
I own a GeForce 7600GS video card and I think that it's time for NVIDIA to open source their drivers, just like ATI/AMD and Intel did. If not, I'm sure that my next card will be a Radeon with an open source driver.
we wants free drivers...!
Linux has a great future in gaming, please open source Nividia drivers
Please we beg of you!!!
willing to see an open Nvidia Driver.
All our machines were Nvidia as you *were* the best for open source. The day ATI released their specs we made the biannual decision to make all our studios PC upgrades to ATI. Their drivers still perform slower, but are developing at a much more rapid pace on Linux and require no special kernel compiling. We hope to be able to return our studio to Nvidia soon, pending a real open driver.
yes
Open up your specifications would greatly help!
I have lots of troubles with nVidia binary drivers.
Come on people, it is only to work collaboratively.
Sharing knowledge is one the greatest human values.
please, help us to improve performance to gnu-linux games and apps 3d. THANKS...

Open-the-Blob nVidia!
Please.
my new pc could have a nvidea or ati, but os will be linux i prefer a video card with better driver, so.. is up to you nvidea
- outstanding idea -
è ovvio ormai che siamo in tanti
porque los usuarios linux, compraremos tarjetas y equipos con nvidia
It would be very nice.
It will be cool and better for us
open your sources, main please
Nvidia is far and away the best graphics solution for linux... Except for the fact that it's unfree. Fix that and you've got the entire market (although admittedly small) - and the geeks you've got start spreading pro-NVIDIA propaganda to everyone else, for a happy feedback loop in your favor.
I always considered switching to nvidea cards, but then ati released their information, and now i thing i will stay with them. Please consider opening up
I also have problems with 169.xx drivers , 7900GS and unreal tournament 2004.I support this letter.
I alwais had NVIDIA cards, but this time I could pass to AMD/ATI video cards if I can't use a full-featured open source video driver.
