As soon as the open source software community releases working ATI/AMD drivers, Nvidia will lose a lot business. I have been a loyal Nvidia customer due to Nvidia's working 3D closed source drivers and because I had no better alternative. Community-developed drivers for ATI/AMD will quickly get me to make the switch to ATI/AMD. I purchase on average of two video cards per year.
