Please please please go totally opensource! Thanks!

Please don't make me want to switch to ati I've only bought nvidia up till now. If there are open source drivers I would only buy nvidia forever.

Very good idea, looking forward to hear something from nVidia.

I'm just putting my two cents to the community

Luís Vitório Cargnini

Please NVIDIA open the source.

Bleh7777

Christopher Sachs

The availability of open source drivers directly affects my purchasing decisions. And I help make purchasing decisions for many people.

Jose Lopez

open source !!!!!!! im a nvidia costumer f*ck give me what i paid for !

paul gupta

Ty Kinnison

hear! hear!

Allen Walker

There has to be a compromise.. A way to protect the IP and give programmers full control.

seatux

It's about time....

Colin Harrington

As a long time GPU customer and a stock holder, thank you

Makario Lewis

Thomas K

Yes!

Michael Hancock

This matters a lot to me! Please fix this problem nvidia. Please!

Benjamin Williams

Do what's right and lets open things up...

jim mccann

Please open your drivers I use linux only. But have purchase ati for linux for the open drivers. But I was a big nvidia fan. I would like to go back.

Se Yeong Byeon

Let the world know you care for the customers who buy your amazing products!

Ian Miller

Chris Stark

Nvidia hardware rocks, but the drivers are the only weak point in my system. If Linux crashes for me, it's almost inevitably caused by the binary Nvidia driver.

Alex S

Respect to Nvidia for their great hardware. Would be very greatful for an equal amount of respect towards great open source software. A loyal customer.

Zachary M.

Sergio Uribe

nvidia: MAKE HISTOY!

Joe Smyth

It would be a great addition to the community if you open up the source!

James Ashley Decker

Paul Cluer

Christopher Wagner

Whats there to lose?

Kenneth P. Stox

Bharat Rajagopalan

You have lots of loyal customers who swear by your products and would like to see greater support in open source OSes. By letting the community also step in, you would be able to achieve this in the long run.

Andrew Callum

Love your hardware - both video and MB. Long time Ubuntu user who would love more support. Thanks.

Peter Sperl

Your drivers for linux are the best right now, but if AMD and Intel's open-source drivers improve, you could be the only player without free drivers, and that could hurt your FOSS strategy.

Hyperair

I support this fully. While that's being done I wouldn't mind if the black window bug be fixed as well. It gets rather annoying.

Kenny Leung

MK

Please and Thanks!

Michael Emanuel

I don't know what I could add that hasn't already been said. Please release your drivers to the OS community!

Ant

Please! :)

Andrew Childress

At least give us ample documentation- we buy the products, it's your job to honor it.

Jennifer H.

How hard can it be? Really guys... I mean c'mon, we all want it!

Lucas Levin

Releasing an open source driver would be an excellent publicity stunt and give people even more reason for choosing Nvidia.

Emil Varbanov

So much users - just release them

David Sheeks

Tony Blyler

I've always bought Nvidia cards, not a single ATI card.

Sir_Sid

Please we need these drivers

Can

nVidia drivers are good, but not great. Hopefully, turning them open will improve the quality.

Seandon Mooy

NVIDIA, Just please open your goddamn source. I needz teh speedz. I mean really, OSS has it beat! Signed, a blackhat who wants Dx10 :(

Michael Roth

Nvidia has always been my choice for graphics card, and your linux drivers have always been better than the competition. But being a long-term linux user, I forsee a point where AMD's release of graphics card specification for the purpose of developing open source linux drivers will create considerable in-roads in the linux market. Even at this point I find myself considering AMD/ATI solutions for this sole purpose. I hope that you'll consider this option as well, as I'd prefer to stick with nvidia on my workstations. Thank you.

Jared Thomas

eddie sung

hope you guys do this!

Lars Ramseyer

Mike Canmore

Sam Jacksonn

As a linux user I think this would be great. Software should be free! (in both ways)

Mike Jackson

Please, support the free exchange of software to encourage the sharing of knowledge. Your hardware is great, please let us use it.

Brad Stafford

Please support Open Source.

Andrew Magee

would be a win/win for customers and nvidia

Adrian Kelly

Well said.

Eric Garcia

Rock on.

nick gradt

this needs to be done!

Justin Walker

I am a huge fan of nVidia graphics and a huge fan of Linux. Hopefully you can see through the antiquated business model of closed source drivers to combine the two.

Samm Etzkin

haykuro

let my code go!

Lee Radel Tabaranza

Matt Pineiro

HYeahMFr

NVIDIA would not exist without open source.

Stefan Hudelmaier

Ramon Azcarate

nVidia user since day 1, please make this dream come true! :)

Jay Elliott

I like Nvidia graphics cards alot more than ATI/AMD cards, but I am considering buying an ATI card because of the open source drivers.

Bruce W

asayuu

please open the drivers

Anthony La Noue

Hey, NVIDIA, c'mon. Seriously. if ATI is offering Open Source drivers, I may have to consider buying their cards instead. As a Linux user, I find it important to have drivers.

Joey Wilson

Jame Layne

Please let me have Compiz with out the blob.

Thomas Doggette

I'm fully planning on being a lifelong user of free software; the question is whether Nvidia products will be part of my thousands of dollars of future hardware purchases.

Ryan Lewis

Andrew Thompson

This is the reason why I do not buy NVIDIA products. If you should choose to release your specifications to the open source community, I would consider buying your products in the future.

Tierre Brundige

don't make me switch to ATI once their open source stuff gets good! antonywilliams.com

Bojan Axievski

Adam Perkins

I would truly like to commit to Linux as a superior product but have been limited by my choice to buy NVidia cards in the past. I haven't been able to make the switch yet because my graphics cards are all nvidia.

Rob E.

Propietary Drivers Suck!

Nick Winovich

NVIDIA, you really need to work better with Open-Source... It's really a pain using your drivers when theres no documentation or source to work with.

Greenery

Current binary driver works well but with open source driver, it would even be better for the community.
