Free the Nvidia driver
I want to program nvidia card
Because it's the futur !
let us use your product with our system without brainf**k....
Kubuntu linux user, would be appreciative of open-source nvidia drivers.
Parce que de si bonnes cartes graphiques méritent d'aussi bons pilotes: réactifs, adaptés... libres!
NVIDIA forever!!!
Freeeeeeeeeeeeeee all drivers !!!
As a programmer, I think it would be really helpful to have an opensource driver... the community could help correct bugs, and we could finally use a unified API on Gnu/Linux.
just for fun ;-)
Liberez les spécifications !
Ohhh please, make me buy nvidia cards again !
...
There is only one reason I use ATI...
having troubles with screen brightness setting under X, looked in all forums and googled hours and hours, but no solution. it seems some register, which is responsible for setting screen brightness changed on a nvidia card :-(( open drivers or spec could help
Nous voulons des drives libres.
need, need, need!!!
Come on!
the future is OPEN
Blob drivers just feel they don't belong to my system.. They mess up with my kernel updates and are just about the only thing I need to setup after OS installation.. Everything else is out-of-the-f***ing-box...
Enthace support of drivers!
Free software - free community!
Yes! And I'm realy think too!
I make due with the binary drivers, but open source would be a big improvement.
Using Linux on the desktop will be the wave of the future and we need the leader of graphics drivers to help out. Please support open-source.
AMD+ATi did it. Intel also does that. Why nVidia still in past?
Please allow people to actually use the hardware you sell!
I use a Compaq presario v3218la and is really hard to use it with the free drivers... I pay for my laptop, and for your graphic card and chipset please think in your costumers and try to be a free enterprise, not a slave of microfost Alejandro Navarro
This would be a great opportunity for me, who uses ubuntu on a 64-bit laptop, to find that when I upgrade to the next version I find that I don't have to open the "restricted drivers" manager to download your driver, but in fact that it "Just Works!"
Open Drivers and specifications are important. This is why NVIDIA needs to listen to the buyers and open stuff. Be responsible.
I've been a devout user of nVidia hardware since the TNT, and have recommended them to others for years. I've been using Linux for three years, and I've always had issues with getting your proprietary driver to work 100%. I also sell pre-built systems with nVidia graphics, and my customers will benefit from a more polished and functional graphics system. Please show the dedicated users and developers in the open-source community some appreciation and courtesy in the form of a fully open-source driver, so that we can perfect it's implementation and inclusion in mainstream Linux distributions.
Open source promises lower costing better quality content and that is why it is the way of the future. The price of Windows Vista is 300$ and this is why many communities and poorer places in particular are adopting Linux. Countries other then the US have much more Linux users. Don't underestimate Linux. We are the way of the future.
open source is futur!
plz
Yes, open them!
me 2
Nvidia For Linux !
Please give us the documentation so that we may construct a FreeBSD / OpenBSD 3D Graphics Driver
That would be nice :)
Hello nVidia Corporation. I am a Debian GNU/Linux user. I will really appreciate if you open source your video card or if you help the nv. If you do that I will be faithful to your products.
Free the drivers!
It will be good!!!
My two cents
Don't be afraid, open your code, and you won't lose anything...
Please, it could be so great.
