I very like NVidia Video cards. But I hate to recompile Drivers every time, i've changed kernel version. Also, very often official driver is unstable and leads to crash of whole X server. I think, that would be less possible, if more people could look into its code.
I think Open Source is cool! And hardware vendors should support it!
VMC
Belgian XBMC on Ubuntu 8.04 user. much love
Free software! OpenSource!
FX 5200 best of the best!!! We trust NVidia+Open Software!!!
Please release driver specifications
I'm probably not going to buy nvidia again unless they open their APIs. That is, ATI is doing it, and I'll bet it won't take long for the freebsd/amd64 ATI drivers to be great. Now, nvidia is behind by not releasing specs; good luck, nvidia, without the support of the OSS community. ;)
Go for it!
+1
nvidia has very big latency in the development of stable and bug-free drivers for Linux
I've been using Nvidia cards ever since I got into Linux. The only thing that would make them better is making them Open and available

I want Free drivers for my nvidia card :)
Even simple things like timings of instructions on NVidia GPUs are shrouded in mystery. Now that they're trying to move toward general purpose computing (CUDA), I really hope they will learn from Intel and AMD and release proper docs for their chips.
Help us and we'll help you - that's how it works in the long run ...
Please, I would'nt buy a ATI, but if nvidia is not open source...
In the interest of outdoing your opponent and solidifying your (already considerable) lead over them, it would be unbelievably great if you could open your drivers.
Open drivers is the future. You can't continue like this and it will help you to provide better products.
Nvidia specifications for my iMac :-)
i am russian linux fanat
A free nvidia driver for a free world :D
C'mon, even Microsoft is doing it...
I use NVIDIA cards, and I think they're technically the best. Releasing the specs would result in a win/win situation both for you and we, our customers.
I hope...
I trust in linux gaming. GeForce rulez!
Help us to make your product working better on any OS.
Please share the src!
Il est important que l'informatique se libère.

I really would like to get my nvidia's working on an opensource driver for my laptop

lets beat the ATI!
Show must go on
I own two nvidia cards : - an old geforce 2 mx - a quadro nvs 140m Now that ATI is going open source, nvidia has to catch up.
i'm agree with community
My next video card will be, probably, nvidia. But I unsure.
Please, do it. In NVIDIA We Trust ;)
Just do, DO IT! :P
Open source is better for a best usage and optimisations!!
Please, please, please !!!
+1. Microsoft isn't the answer. Microsoft is the question, and the answer is NO.
We trust NVidia + Linux!!! The best!!!!
Je souhaiterais que ma prochaine carte graphique soit encore une nvidia mais comme ati a libéré ses sources ca risque d'etre vers eux que je me pencherais...
pour des drivers NVIDIA libres!
Please do it!
