count my vote too ;)
Would like to see fully functional(2D+3D+video decoding accelleration) opensource nVidia drivers or hardware programming specs. Proprietary drivers taint kernel and I'm not sure that proprietary drivers for new kernels would support old hardware. Currently I use opensource drivers for Intel and AMD.
My users at work constantly have problems with Nvidia video cards after they upgrade their linux boxes and end up using vesa drivers until I can come and fix their systems. It is a pain. All of our new machines are using intel craptastic cards to get around this. Please make an effort to support you users.

It's really needed
Please collaborate.
:)
What I buy next time depends on this.

The drivers will be a important part of the linux world, if you can help in anything the whole of nvidia & GNU/linux users in the world will be more happy to buy the new products of nvidia.
Make nvidia driver opensource, and maybe we can improve and fix it..see freeze with 7600gt
Just try to do it!
Count me in, please.
I know that opening the drivers is not possible, as they share loads of code with the window drivers and contain lots of intellectual property, however, you could at least give out specs, technical documentation and actively support the oss driver efforts.
An open source driver would makes updates of the kernel much more seemless than they now are as the new kernel version could include the open source driver. Thanks.

Please release the driver in open source so that we can enjoy the good Nvidia hardware even if we are using Linux OS
in Russia
To make the drivers even better!
I would be happy^ if there will be opensource drivers for NVIDIA graphics!
This is why I buy ATI cards: for Compiz Fusion, hardware acceleration, and all the goodies I expect from my graphics card IRRESPECTIVE of my operating system.
At least clear documentation without NDAs should be available for Free.
Open Source drivers mean open possibilities for PhysX technology!
Only Linux
We need this!!
Yes
Open it up bitch!
Please provide completely open drivers.
It's not nVIDIAs choice, it's ours. I choose to not buy more graphic cards that require blobs to function decently.
Last chance before loosing more customers to ATI.
it would be a great avanced procedure!

Se agradeceria mucho que libreran los drivers
Already looking to buy some newer radeons for their would-be community driver. Please hurry.
opensource drivers (and opensource CUDA) is the way to go, gpgpu is the future for scientfic community (HPC) and GNU Linux is their primary OS
I thought my 8800 GTS was going to rock on Linux which was part of my motivation for buying it. I always thought that an open source driver would be beneficial to the company.
count my vote to, please.
You make a great video card now please supply the drivers for Linux to support it. Don't make me go to ATI.
Rossia. Moscow.
Please give me Open source drivers. It is my belief that in the long run, It will reduce your development costs.
I really hope they do something after this
From GeForce 2MX 400 to 4MX 460 to 6200 Gamers Edition to 7300GT Extreme, I've always been a loyal customer - one that wholeheartedly recommended nVidia's products to friends using both that sorry excuse for an OS called Windows as well as GNU/Linux. What I really desire is a FLOSS driver which would enable me to regain/preserve my freedom and, at the same time, exploit my hardware to fullest extent possible. Thank you in advance and in hope you'll be able to meet our requests Petar
Support.

nvidia rulezz on linux
Одна голова хорошо, а десять -- мутант. Откройте спецификации -- дорогу мутантам!
I hope you'll chose the right way. Open source is the future.
I haven't been able to update my system to the last 4 releases due to bugs. It's getting annoying.
Open drivers will benefit you and me. I'll keep buying Nvidia if you keep supporting my operating system better than other companies do.
My GeForce 2Go on my notebook works winth official nvidia legacy drivers more poor than RivaTNT 2 m64.
мне и сейчас не плохо живется...
Give us chance to make drivers better
Get with it

Surely it would be crazy not to open up now. I for one would definitely buy AMD/ Intel at the moment. Who wants a crippled gfx card?
Give us the code!

It won't happen anytime soon. This endeavor is just a waste of time. Do you really think NVIDIA cares about 0.8% of desktop Linux users to spend their time and effort writing the 'clean' documentation for their GPUs? I'm almost entirely satisfied by their binary drivers, since NVIDIA is here and alive. If they are about to die, anything can happen. Intel are ATI cannot be drawn as examples here - even their open source drivers are of a much worse quality than NVIDIA's binary blobs. Besides NVIDIA's GPUs are the speediest in the market - is there any incentive for NVIDIA to get open source low performace drivers as a result of specifications opening? // Just for you to remember: ATI's binary drivers are still faster than their open source counterparts.
+1 from Russia
Open sourcing your (NVidia) drivers would enable all Linux distributions to run a full 3D desktop out-of-the-box on a PC with an NVidia card which is good for your sales and good for Linux adoption.
please;)
Please, free your driver as AMD did or I will switch to their Graphics Cars even if I prefer yours.
Yah!
pleae open up ur hardware specs,no we dont want to launch a competing product.we just want our hardware been supported.open source ur drivers please!
The customer is always right.
I am one linux'user, and i want the drivers Nvidia are open;
This can only be a good thing. Until then, no more nvidias for me.
If it's not open sourced the next time I upgrade, I won't be buying Nvidia
That'd be cool...
Fully agree!
