Get on it, guys!
Until there are suitable drivers, I will avoid purchasing any systems with NVIDIA hardware. Please make your products an option for me again.
please!! :)
NVIDIA offers an amazing range of products which would ultimately increase the Linux community as a way of forever freeing users. Open source of course allows Linux users to develop their minds, but in a world where they don't have to pay for creativity.
your not cool unless you do it.
Let's see what they've got!
I'd love to see this happen.
I just purchased ATI HD3600 because there isn't any open source drivers support from nvidia. I would like this to change.
NVIDIA makes a stable product. Please make drivers for a stable OS.
Long live linux
Absolutely agreed.
Linux is the way to go. NVidia should support it.
I would like to see an opensource driver as well!
Dude gnu! eveything on there should bee free and share
Help the cause
hurry up n release dev documentation....
Opensource !!!
!
Develop drivers for the Linux community. There is no need to limit your market.
Do this and you will be also awesome
It is not bad!
Hope you join us!
I used to only buy nVidia cards for me and my customers, because of their great Linux drivers. Now I'm considering ATI for the very same reason.
I value my Nvidia hardware as top of the line and "it just works". Having open source drivers would really seal the deal!
Go nvidia!!
Please give us linux gamers some hope!
Switching to Linux has made computing fun again... I get excited to use my computer, looking forward to when something goes wrong, so I can learn how to fix it!
please :)
I love NVIDIA graphics cards, but I'd really like to see some open source drivers; it will be better for everyone.
your not cool unless you do it.
Open up to Open Source. Everybody wins.
support open source!
With thanks in advance for your co-operation.
If you open source your drivers, it will mean more money from people like us.
I'm from Clorinda, (in the state of Formosa, in Argentina). It's a litlle city near Asuncion (Paraguay). My favorites Linux Distributions are: Mandriva 2008, Kubuntu 7.10, Fedora 8 and SUSE 10.3. No more to say! Congratulations for your great stuff (nVidia-nForce) an so: GO ON! GO FOR IT!
I like NVIDIA. But I like linux too. They must work together. It will be great
Open source drivers would help the development of NVIDIA software so that it can work much better with its hardware on both mainstream and less popular OSs.
agree
Please! Please! Please! please?
I will not purchase any hardware that will not work under Linux. Please release open-source drivers for the *nix operating systems.
I've been ready for gaming on linux for a while now and actually decide on which card to buy (ATI or Nvidia) based on linux support. I hope nvidia takes this advice to heart.
C'mon people, rendering is nice and rendering under Linux is even nicer. MS Vista is such a hog a can't get half the work done that I can do with Linux. Wish I could use one of your newer cards instead of the ATI card I am using now. Sincerely, a prospective customer.
Please!
I want it. And I want game development companies, like Blizzard hear that call. I want to use all available multimedia solutions on open source platforms.
Please help the Linux community on this. If you were to set the example maybe more companies would follow suit.
IMHO your cards are the best and so is your linux driver, but an open source one would be even better.. Hurry before Intel presents its own new multicore card ;-)
Game Developer and long time Linux + Nvidia user. I will absolutely switch to intel or amd/ati as soon as there is an opensource driver providing anywhere near the performance/features of the closed nvidia driver for 1-3 yr old cards. That is, unless there were a better F/OSS driver for nvidia by then (official or not).
Linux is the future of PC gaming.
Open source is the future.
Thinking about buying ATI as my next video card.
Linux and open source in general is not a proof of concept group. These are real users who have real use for your cards. You sales will go up significantly if you simply add some of the drivers to the open source community. Intel decided in the 90's they would release their chip designs to the open source community, to this day, they do not regret it.
I love my *nix but I'd love it more if you (nVidia) would co-operate.
I have not supported NVIDIA for several years now because of this issue. Would love to again one day.
You can do it nVidia, I want to play Q3/Q4 and UT on Ubuntu
Go go go
Yup I am in it
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO IT NVIDIA IM TIRED OF CODING
Please, NVIDIA, PLEASE! :)
linux deserves better drivers and Microsoft is losing is monopoly.
Open that shit up homies!
Just do it!
