2 in the pink 1 in the stink
agree with the above-said
I think it could be nice. I want to move linux soon
When I go to build a new system I always consider which vendors have the best support for the open source community. I once chose NVIDIA over ATI and have never regretted the decision. However, now that ATI is open source the bar is raised.
It truly would mean alot to me
It would be great!
ready for change
Open source drivers will provide the foundation for success in a world of proprietary chaos.
pleeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzz
Plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
The proprietary drivers are not bad, but the open source ones would only make nVidia hardware better supported in the GNU/Linux Community.
Yeah!
I love nvidia cards and always use them but being stuck with the proprietary drivers only if I want full support for things like compiz is a drag. I use Gutsy 64 bit on 3 desktops. Thanks for listening.
I look forward to seeing how this turns out, it's critical for this to happen in order for NVIDIA to remain in a competitive market and it would help the Linux system grow faster (it's growing now but anything to make it grow faster cannot be ignored!)
Yes, we need it for better software!
Open source is the way of the future. Your efforts are great in some areas and poor in others. Be consistent, get better Linux support.
+1
Ati has donde it! why u not nvidia? :P Ati lo ha hecho!¿por que no tu nvidia?
we need drivers!
nVidia, it is time.
Hmmm
Just do it!
Hey NVIDIA time to open up your specs to the driver community. Everyone will love you that much more.
Just do it~!
It is nonsense to imagine that releasing the source would hinder your chances of holding on to the GPU crown. Hundreds of developers are BEGGING to work on your product for no charge. Why deny them the opportunity?
Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con el contenido de la carta a Nvidia.
Drivers Nvidia para Linux
I would love if nvidia opened up some code so we can develop top of the line drivers
I know no one is going to read this, but I hope that you, NVIDIA, will do this. Perhaps it may solve some bugs like the Black Window Bug faster. Sincerely, Gavin. (gavintlgold online in many places)
Nvidia para Linux más avanzado
Mojores Drivers Nvidia para Linux
Please, Nvidia... It will allow me to do more and continue recommending your hardware for compatibility's sake...
Been using for 2 years now. Will never use other Operating System again.
Closed source support is nice, but don't be the only big guy that is closed. Open up like Intel and AMD/ATI!
Yay Linux!
There is much to gain by going open source. Is there much to lose?

Hell, why not? I find that a majority of the tech-saavy community seems to support Nvidia over ATI (AMD), but you'll definitely see that switch if you don't follow suite.
Open the Driver, Nvidia! Please!
open nvidia driver in the kernel tree for the win!!!!!!
Would be great that NVIDIA can make Graphics drivers for Linux,
Support with this letter. Make drivers for all operation systems!! -- Developer from Russia.
I support free and open source software, and I would appreciate that such software endeavors receive support from the hardware manufacturers in the form of access to the documentation necessary for the creation of open source drivers. It's a win/win situation.
Mhhee
