es necesario que los drivers de nvidia, sean de codigo abierto; ya que así optendríamos drivers de calidad decente, al estar programadores de todo el mundo, revisando y optimisando el software; de antemano, gracias...
Doooo itttttttt
The less money I spend on an OS is more money I can spend on your cards
Yes.. please open your drivers Nvidia.
Go NVIDIA, open your mind.
I use Nvidia exclusively, I would respect you a lot more as a company if you opened the drivers.
Go NVIDIA, I trust you
The future is open
If you don't do it, I'm buying ATI for the first time with my next computer.
Open Source your drivers, then they can be included in the kernel. No more strange wrapper layer.
Please NVIDIA! Do the right thing!
Yeah!
Please?
I exclusively use Nvidia with Ubuntu Linux, and would enjoy easier installs and more functionality by doing this. Linux is filling a void that Vista has made.
Because Free-Software > !Free-Software
It would be nice if consumers of graphics hardware with open-source drivers were not restricted to Intel and ATI products.
I've been pleased with nVidia products for a long time, except for this sore of an issue. Don't make my next video card purchase an ATI.
I bought your graphic card for all our computers. Hope you open your driver source code.
I appreciate your driver support thusfar (i.e. releasing good drivers for Linux before market pressure forced you to), but you can only help your reputation by opening thing up.
open it up. let it be free...
Nvidia, please open-source the binary blob drivers and card documentation
I am a nVidia customer. As soon as a decent open 3D Driver is released I'll be going with ATI. However, the more you open the more willing I will be to stick with you.
Look to the future, NVIDIA, and become the awesome innovators you have been and that we know you are capable of being.
Recently your binary drivers have been a bit buggy, at least in my experience. If you provide enough openness for open-source developers to write or at least help you write your drivers, then we'll be able to improve performance and stability.
Jump on the open source bandwagon, you still get all the money that you would normally get, and you get happier customers!
All the cool kids are doing it.
pretty please?
hey ATI did, Intel did it, hell even Microsoft is kinda doing it!? so as Nike say "Do It
I fully support this initiative. Have been a Nvidia customer from the Geforce 4 days.
Please do this! I love your products and would love to have them fully supported under Linux.
I Agree, open source it :)
please support linux
that is, Jodha Shahenshah, that is, Jodha Aurangzeb
Would appreciate it greatly.
Me too!
Really not a bad idea, Nvidia.
agreed. Linux Needs you Nvidia
OpenGL acceleration out of the box, please! Thank you
I support open source because the world need it, because the mankind will evolve with it. So unless you show some support, i will have to stop using your products And more important telling people to use your products. I use the open one.
100% Linux user with only 25% PC's running NVIDIA. Used to be 100%, but Intel has better Open Source Support and each upgrade is being replaced by Intel Hardware. I look for Intel hardware due to their perspective on Linux.
Open the drivers. We need full support out of the box.
Apoyar la cultura de el software libre es promover el desarrollo de mejores estandares para todos los usuarios, por favor apoyen el desarrollo de un controlador aberto.
Love your products, and would love to see them open-source.
I expect this won't make the slightest bit of difference. ATI and Intel have shown that if they want to, they can find a way of helping people out. If nothing else, they could send hardware and answer questions from the Nouveau folks.
Open it up NVIDIA!
Open Source FTW!
wonderfully written, i also like the concept of a little at a time entrance into open source for these companies.
I would love to write drivers for my operating system.
Hopefully nvidia sees that the IP range from many different countries, else they might believe people are not interested in it. BTW i use nvidia cards a lot, and I dont have a problem using their installer. Their installer is quite good, so I dont really have a complaint about it. But I still support open source movements per se. I do NOT want to be locked into Windows - in fact i dont use windows anymore.
Please pretty please
i will buy your product
I currently have an NVidia graphics card and run Ubuntu, but if you don't change your ways my next computer will not.
I just bought a Geforce 8800GT which didn't work in my Linux box - ended up taking it back and exchanging for a non-nvidia card.
Please....
