All of us want Linux+Nvidia! :D
True intentions must be shown, indeed.
we need this driver!
Your drivers are great now, Nvidia, but open drivers would be 100x better.
Good luck, my vote
Letś work together
Opensource
Come on nvidia! Support the open source movement!... Please?
Yeah, go Open source! http://initiative.yo2.cn/
Sigan manteniendo a NVIDIA como opción uno de los número uno para el OpenSource!
In the end, Nvidia, this will help you!
I really hope to see NVIDIA support the open source community.
Open source ftw!
With ATI now supporting open source developers with information, NVIDIA stand to be left out in the cold.
Thanks
Open Source!
Linux/BSD user for quite a while, i would like to have good drivers support for nvidia's excellent graphic cards on my desktop. Thank you.
Debia x64 user, NVIDIA GO 7700
i bought the 8800gt and i plan on continuing to buy nvidia products but i would really appreciate for there to be open drivers , nvidia already beats ati almost all the time and with open source drivers there will be no reason not to recommend you to all that ask
Openness is truly a beautiful thing
I hope they can take into consideration this request
Nvidia and Linux user since 2004
Please open up your specs. When the other big players have opened up, there's little to achive by closing things up.

For the benefit of everyone.
I would buy NVidia cards if there were an open 3D driver for it.
I use an nVidia-based motherboard for the sole reason of quality standards... and Linux for the reason that Windows doesn't meet that standard. It would be excellent to have the best of both worlds. The fundamentally-limited drivers for Linux are almost enough for me to get a new (cheap) motherboard and sell the one I have to pay for it. Having a fully-functional driver could also open up possibilities for a Linux-based gaming market that is currently untapped. It would be awesome for nVidia to "lead the charge" on this end of things, and it could certainly give the company a competitive advantage in the long-term by creating standards by which games could be developed, ported, and otherwise created for the GNU/Linux platforms. GNU/Linux doesn't prevent proprietary drivers; but the community is anxiously awaiting a driver it can use to further develop the platform into a fully-functional and usable home system. 3D acceleration (and the release of documentation for programmers) would serve to accomplish this end, all without limiting any channel of profitability if done correctly.
For the benefit of everyone.
Good luck!
+1 to what the article said
Nvidia, I have enjoyed 3 different generations of your cards; TNT2, GeForce4, and GeForce 6. I have never been disappointed, but no longer wish to have to use a closed proprietary driver on my linux system to get the full 3d capabilities of your cards. Please open your driver source, or provide programming API's so that developers can write their own driver. The value of your cards is in the hardware's performance and stability, and I can't imagine you would suffer a loss in market share by opening your code. On the contrary, many linux enthusiasts buy nvidia because the proprietary driver worked better than ATI's proprietary driver. With ATI giving the community access, many nVIDIA buyers may now switch to ATI to get better support.
I need one world, no your world. I am need free for choose, thank you if you can make something. Ecuador
Opensource for all.
You business will only grow if it is available in more and more places.
Keep the penguin happy!
Drivers NOW!!
@nVidia Don't let the others take the advantage. I switched to nVidia cards for better support a couple of years ago. I don't want to switch again.
none
Just win some new users.
Go nVidia
La comunidad de software libre es grande, teniendo buenos controladores ,su empresa y la comunidad, salen beneficiadas
Yaahooo!
open source for all!
The more open, the better!
Thanks for all you've done. Go ahead now !
In a world without frontiers, who need gates or windows?
Dare I say it, one reason for switching back to ATI was the open driver support
Thanks for what you've done and what you will do! A happy (linux using) nVidia customer!
I would rather support a lesser product that is open source than a better product that ignores the open source communities needs.
ok
nvidia 7600GT
Open it up!
This is very nice, signed!

Your drivers are great now, Nvidia, but open drivers would be better.
