I've always used nvidia cards in the past. This will change however when AMD have released the specs for their cards if opensource drivers for nvidia cards aren't in a comparable state. Nvidia have provided better support for Linux up until now. Long may it be so.

I use a nVidia Geforce 8600GT with GNU/Linux and Compiz Fusion, even that their driver is proprietors, if you NVIDIA gentlemen released specifications to face healthy AMD/ATI and serious INTEL but and the competitive thing to equal them in benefit of all the users of LINUX.

NVidia has been delivering excellent and affordable products, and I'm with them whether they open source their drivers or not. But I'd still like to request them to provide open source drivers - and I'm sure if they do that a lot many more people will be willing to use it and get a taste of NVidia's excellence.
